University Public Relations Graduate Seeks Employment Opportunities

Mount Pleasant, Mich. – Melissa Susanne Lee, of Bellaire, Mich., graduated from Central Michigan University on Dec. 11, 2010, with a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a public relations concentration. Lee, who has hands-on experience through classroom work, extracurricular activities, and multiple internships, is actively seeking employment opportunities in public relations and communications, and is open to relocation from her home in northern Michigan.
Lee began her education at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, Mich., before transferring to Central Michigan University in 2008. While maintaining a full course load, she also participated in multiple extracurricular activities that encouraged her to expand her talents and skills. Lee was an active member of Central Michigan University’s Pubic Relations Student Society of America chapter, designed flyers and promoted events for the registered student organization TOMS Shoes at CMU, and served as Treasurer and an Assistant Account Executive for PR Central, Central Michigan University’s student-run public relations firm.
Outside of the classroom, Lee completed multiple internships to gain hands-on experience. In the summer of 2008 she covered local events and people of interest as a reporter for the Antrim Review. In the summer of 2010, Lee took on much of Shanty Creek Resorts’ social media and publicity as the Public Relations Intern. And in her last semester at Central Michigan, she helped plan and promote events for CM Life, the university’s student-run, award winning newspaper.
